AK Extended Safety Lever | Bolt Hold Open Safety for Diablo Trigger Compatibility

The AK extended safety lever is more than just a convenient upgrade—it’s a required component for certain Diablo Trigger installations. If your rifle falls within the models listed in our Installation Guide, this extended safety lever provides the proper cam engagement needed for reliable operation.

Required for Select Diablo Trigger Builds

Most AK-pattern rifles can use the factory safety lever without issue. However, some rifles require an AK extended safety lever to ensure proper interaction with the Diablo Trigger system.

Installing the correct safety lever from the beginning helps eliminate compatibility issues and contributes to a smoother installation process.

Improved Functionality

In addition to supporting compatible Diablo Trigger installations, this safety lever includes an integrated bolt hold open (BHO) notch. This allows you to manually lock the bolt to the rear during maintenance, inspections, or while at the range.

It’s a simple feature that many AK owners appreciate, especially during reloads or when confirming the rifle is clear.

Texas Triggers – Return, Exchange & Cancellation Policy

Pre-Orders & Backorders — Cancellation

Orders for pre-order or backordered items may be cancelled for a full refund, provided the order has not yet entered the shipping and fulfillment process. Once an order has been processed for shipment, it is no longer eligible for cancellation and must follow the standard return process below.

Standard Order Cancellations

Cancellation requests for in-stock orders that have not yet shipped are subject to a 10% restocking and administrative processing fee. This fee covers payment processing costs, administrative time, and order preparation already completed. To request a cancellation, contact us immediately at info@texastriggerusa.com with your order number.

Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, all of the following conditions must be met:

  • The item must be in new, unused, and uninstalled condition.
  • Original packaging must be completely intact and unopened — items with opened packaging are not eligible for return.
  • For apparel and merchandise: all original tags must be attached and the item must be unworn and unused.
  • All original accessories, manuals, and components must be included.
  • You must contact us within 5 days of confirmed delivery to initiate a return.
  • You must ship the item back to us within 7 days of receiving return approval.
Non-Returnable Items

The following items are strictly non-returnable under any circumstances:

  • Any product that has been installed, used, fired, or assembled into a firearm.
  • Any product with opened or damaged packaging.
  • Apparel or merchandise with removed tags or signs of use.
  • Items returned beyond the 5-day contact window or 7-day return shipment window.
  • Pre-owned, used, or previously installed components.
Failed Inspection — Abandoned Items

If a returned item is received and fails inspection due to installation, use, damage, or non-compliance with our return policy, Texas Triggers reserves the right to deny the return and withhold the refund. In such cases, Texas Triggers also reserves the right to retain the item and is not obligated to return it to the customer. Customers will be notified of a failed inspection via email.

Restocking Fee
  • All approved returns are subject to a 25% restocking and processing fee deducted from the refund amount. This fee covers payment processing, inspection, repackaging, and inventory costs.
Return Shipping
  • Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.
  • Texas Triggers recommends using a trackable shipping method and purchasing shipping insurance. Texas Triggers is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.
Exchange Policy
  • Exchanges are subject to the same eligibility conditions as returns. If an exchange is approved, Texas Triggers will ship the replacement item upon receipt and inspection of the returned item.
  • If the requested exchange item is out of stock at the time of return receipt, a refund will be issued minus the applicable restocking fee. Texas Triggers cannot hold inventory for pending exchanges.
Refund Processing
  • Once a return is received and approved, refunds will be processed to the original method of payment within 7 business days.
  • Texas Triggers may, at its discretion, offer store credit as an alternative to a cash refund. Refunds will reflect the purchase price minus any applicable restocking fees.
How to Initiate a Return

To initiate a return or exchange, contact us at info@texastriggerusa.com with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for your return. Return instructions will be provided upon approval. Do not ship items back without prior written approval.
